Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu 2 Days Tour ITINERARY
Day 1: Cusco - Sacred Valley - Aguas calientes
We start the Sacred Valley Machu Picchu excursion, picking you up at your hotel in Cusco, to take you to the Sacred Valley. This spectacular tour invites you to visit the beautiful town of Pisac. It is located at 2,972 m.a.s.l. and 33 km from Cusco. Its Archaeological Park invites us to discover its impressive stone constructions, its Inca terraces that served to manage the agricultural system, and ceremonial temples to worship their many gods. Pisac is formed by groups of archaeological remains, among which are aqueducts, roads associated with walls and portals, channeled water courses, cemeteries,and bridges. The area covered by this complex is 4 square kilometers in area. After the visit to the Archaeological Park of Pisac, we will visit its colorful and attractive handicraft market where you can buy various products. At noon you will enjoy a buffet lunch in the town of Urubamba, then visit Ollantaytambo characterized by its huge rocks on top of the mountain. And also for its impressive terraces in the shape of animals.
Upon arrival, you will board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night.
Day 2: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
In the morning we will transfer you to the bus station to go up to the Machu Picchu Archaeological Sanctuary, the journey on the bus takes approximately 25 minutes.
Arriving at Machu Picchu, you will initially enjoy its magical energy, its temperate climate, the air and tranquility that is enjoyed from the moment you enter, its natural beauty, its terraces, and its spectacular stone constructions. Represented in its Inca enclosures and ceremonial temples. Its terraces of intense green color and the imposing mountain range that surrounds it, make up a beautiful landscape that exceeds any expectation.
You will be amazed by its huge and impressive stone blocks joined together, which make it unique as one of the most important religious, political and cultural centers of the Inca Empire.
The guided tour in Machu Picchu has an approximate time of 02 hours in this time you will learn all the information and history of Machu Picchu.
After the guided visit to the Inca citadel, you will have free time to enjoy Machu Picchu on your own and of course, take the best pictures.
We will return to the town of Aguas Calientes, you will take enough time to optionally enjoy its thermal baths or a short walk through the town, to finally board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Arriving approximately at midnight in Cusco, we will transfer you to your hotel.
