Itinerary
Cusco – Poroy – Community of Sencca – Abode of the Gods – Cusco
Highlight of the day: Walk in front of huge Andean figures carved on the mountain and understand the message that each one represents.
The tour starts with pick-up from your hotel or from a previously coordinated point in the center of Cusco. If your accommodation is located on a narrow, pedestrian or vehicle-restricted street, the Peceros Agency Travel team will indicate a safe and close place to board transportation.
We will leave the urban movement of Cusco to take the road to Poroy. As we move forward, the constructions of the city give way to fields, slopes and dwellings in the Sencca area.
The journey by vehicle takes about 20 minutes from the Plaza de Armas, although it can vary due to traffic, road work or weather conditions. The complex is located in the Sencca sector, approximately 3,850 meters above sea level.
Upon arrival, the guide will arrange entry and provide an initial explanation. the height can be felt during the first steps, especially if you have just arrived in Cusco. That is why we will walk without haste and make pauses when necessary.
Within the complex we will advance along exterior paths to the main sculptures. You will see figures such as Wiracocha, the puma, Pacha, three-dimensional portals, human faces and representations inspired by the beliefs of the Andes. Some works continue to be developed, as Apukunaq Tianan is an artistic project that continues to grow.
The scale of the sculptures changes completely when you are in front of them. The grooves of the stone, the shadows on the faces and the sound of the wind create an environment that is not appreciated in the same way in photographs.
The guide will explain what each figure represents and how it relates to concepts such as the Pachamama, the Apus and the different planes of the Andean world. You will also have free moments to take pictures.
In dry season, the soil is usually firm and dusty. During the rainy months mud, wet stones and slippery areas may occur. The shoes with good support allows you to walk more safely.
After touring the main sectors, you can optionally enter the energy chamber or review the crafts and products offered within the complex.
Finally, we will board our vehicle again to return to Cusco. The descent from Sencca usually feels lighter and allows you to observe the city from a wide perspective before returning to the hotel or the agreed point.

Local Operation
Peceros Agency Travel operates tourist services from the city of Cusco. Our team knows the accesses to Poroy, the traffic conditions, the rainy seasons and the changes that may occur on the route.
Flexible Service
Not all travelers want to walk at the same pace. Some people want to take photographs for several minutes, while others prefer to hear broader explanations.
Experienced Guides
Our guides are not limited to pointing out the sculptures. They explain why the cougar, the Pachamama, Wiracocha and the Apus appear, and clarify that Apukunaq Tianan is a contemporary artistic work inspired by the Andean tradition, not an archaeological center built by the Incas.
Reliable Transportation
We use vehicles with operational review, seat belts, pre-cleaning and capacity according to the number of passengers. Before each departure we checked the conditions of the road to Sencca.
