Peceros Agency Travel is a formal agency authorized to operate tourism services in Peru. Our main objective is to provide safe, responsible, and high-quality experiences. This document establishes the conditions under which reservations, payments, cancellations, personal data protection, and other mutual responsibilities between the agency and the client are conducted.
By confirming a reservation, the client declares having read, understood, and accepted the terms detailed herein.
1. Customer Communication Policy (Charges, Cancellations, and Refunds)
Peceros Agency Travel guarantees clear, transparent, and prior communication about all its commercial policies. Information will be provided through:
- Sending terms via WhatsApp, email, or link.
- Publication on the website and tour sheets.
- Written confirmation at the end of the reservation.
- Verbal explanation prior to payment when the client is at the office.
The agency commits to informing the client about:
- Exact amounts to be paid
- Payment method commission
- Applicable taxes
- Non-refundable deposits
- Cancellation penalties
- Weather conditions that may affect the service
- Traveler rights and obligations
Any payment made implies formal acceptance of these policies.
2. Personal Data Protection Policy
Peceros Agency Travel strictly complies with Law No. 29733 – Personal Data Protection Law, its regulations, and international digital protection standards.
2.1 Data Collected
We collect only the data necessary for tourism operations:
- Full name
- ID card or passport
- Email and phone number
- Health information relevant to the experience
- Allergies and dietary restrictions
- Information required for tickets, entries, or transportation
2.2 Use of Data
Data will be used solely for:
- Processing reservations, purchases, and ticket issuance
- Operational communication with the client
- Security in protected areas or remote zones
- Compliance with reports to authorities (SERNANP, MINCETUR, SUNAT)
2.3 Protection and Storage
- Data is stored with digital security measures.
- Data is not commercialized, sold, or shared with third parties without authorization.
- Data is only shared with operational providers when mandatory (e.g., trains, buses, hotels).
2.4 User Rights
The client may request at any time:
- Data updates
- Information correction
- Data deletion (except when the law requires retention)
- Revocation of authorization
3. Force Majeure
The agency assumes no responsibility for unforeseeable or inevitably harmful events, such as:
- Extreme weather (heavy rains, landslides, snowfalls, hail)
- Strikes, stoppages, or road blockades
- Government closures of archaeological sites
- Pandemics, epidemics, or health emergencies
- Natural accidents (earthquakes, floods, landslides)
- Social conflicts, riots, acts of vandalism
In case of force majeure, services may be modified, rescheduled, or canceled always prioritizing passenger safety.
4. Travel Insurance
It is highly recommended that the client has insurance covering:
- Medical expenses due to illness or accident
- Evacuation by helicopter or ambulance
- Cancellations and postponements
- Loss or damage of luggage
- Accidents during trekking or outdoor activities
Peceros may request a copy or policy number for quick assistance in emergencies.
5. Payments and Charging Policy
This section explains how payments work, available methods, and the charging policy to ensure a transparent and secure experience for all travelers.
5.1 International Payments
- We accept PayPal and payment links.
- A mandatory 6% commission per transaction applies.
- The client assumes conversion fees and charges from their bank or card.
5.2 National Payments (Peru)
- Yape, Plin, or bank transfer.
- Payments with links in soles also incur a 6% commission.
5.3 VAT (18%)
- Foreign tourists are exempt upon presenting a passport.
- Peruvian residents pay mandatory VAT according to law.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
This section outlines the conditions for canceling a reservation, applicable deadlines, and refund options so you can make clear and confident decisions before traveling.
6.1 Tourist Packages within Peru
- 30% non-refundable deposit.
- No refunds for illness, change of plans, altitude sickness, flight delays, etc.
6.2 Tours to Machu Picchu
- 100% payment, non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Tickets are personal and non-modifiable by Peruvian law.
6.3 One-Day Tours
- 50% non-refundable deposit.
- Refunds only for group tours according to policy:
o 70% up to 10 days before
o 50% up to 72 hours before
o 0% after the deadline
6.4 No Shows
If the passenger does not arrive at the meeting point, it is considered a no show and no refund is given.
7. Cancellations Due to Force Majeure (Agency)
If Peceros must cancel a tour due to extreme conditions:
- Machu Picchu: 30% refund
- Full Day: 50% refund
If cancellation occurs during the tour (for safety), no refund applies.
8. Dietary Requirements
We will try to accommodate allergies or restrictions if informed in advance.
In remote areas, this is not always possible.
Passengers with severe allergies must bring their essential medication.
9. Reservation Confirmation
After payment, you will receive:
- Complete tour information
- List of what to bring
- Acclimatization recommendations
- Meeting points and schedules
- Service policies
10. Terms Modification
Peceros may update these terms at any time.
The current version will apply at the time of booking.
11. Responsible Tourism Best Practices (EXTENDED VERSION)
Peceros Agency Travel promotes sustainable tourism with a positive impact on communities and ecosystems.
11.1 Environment
The client commits to:
- Not leaving waste on routes, towns, or protected areas.
- Using a reusable bottle to reduce plastic.
- Respecting fauna and flora: do not touch, remove, or damage.
- Not feeding wild animals.
- Following authorized routes and not leaving trails.
· Reducing water and energy consumption in accommodations.
11.2 Respect for Cultural Heritage
- Respect sacred spaces and rituals.
- Ask permission before taking photos of people.
- Do not alter traditions to obtain content.
- Value local crafts by buying directly from artisans.
Avoid offensive or disrespectful behavior.
11.3 Coexistence with Communities
Maintain respectful, friendly, and non-intrusive behavior.
- Follow guide instructions during community visits.
- Do not offer gifts, money, or sweets to children (affects local economy).
11.4 Conduct and Safety
- Follow the guide’s instructions at all times.
- Report physical discomfort or altitude sickness symptoms.
- Do not participate in activities under the influence of alcohol.
- Use appropriate equipment according to the tour.
11.5 Sustainable Communication
Before the trip, the traveler will receive:
- Destination rules
- Cultural recommendations
- Environmental tips
- Reminders for a responsible visit
