TRIP SUMMARY

Inti Raymi is the most important celebration of the Inca calendar, held every June 24th in Cusco, Peru. This ancient festival honors the sun god (Inti) and revives traditional ceremonies in historic settings such as the Qoricancha, the Plaza de Armas, and the Sacsayhuamán fortress. With colorful traditional costumes, Andean music, and cultural performances, Inti Raymi attracts thousands of visitors seeking a unique experience steeped in history, spirituality, and Inca tradition.

ITINERARY

8:00 a.m. – Tour start and hotel pickup.
Begin the experience with a transfer to Cusco’s historic center.

9:00 a.m. – Ceremony at the Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun).
Watch the start of Inti Raymi with an ancient ceremony at the most sacred temple of the Inca Empire, where they worship the Sun God. If you purchased your ticket, you’ll have a VIP seat at the front of the ceremony.

10:00 a.m. – Performance in Cusco’s Plaza de Armas
Enjoy the Inca’s greeting to the people and the traditional dances that mark the journey to Sacsayhuamán. Here you will have some free time to enjoy the performance at your own pace in the Plaza de Armas (Aucaypata), where the 4 Suyos perform a greeting.

11:00 a.m. – We will have lunch at one of the region’s traditional restaurants.

We will enjoy a delicious lunch with typical dishes from the Cusco region.

12:00 p.m. We will transfer to our vehicle to ascend to Sacsayhuamán.

We will transfer to Sacsayhuamán to watch the main ceremony, where dozens of tourists eagerly await the start of the ceremony, depending on the grandstand chosen.

GRAPHS AT SACSAYHUAMAN

The grandstands are divided into three colors (Red, Green, Orange). They are comfortable seats to fully enjoy the ceremony. These grandstands offer better views of the ceremony, where the Inca, the Qoya, soldiers, and the rest of the entourage offer an offering thanking the earth (Pachamama) and the sun (Inti).
