Itinerary
Pick up at the hotel and depart from Cusco
Highlights: early tour to the valleys and towns of southern Cusco.
The pickup is between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m. from hotels located within the operating area of Cusco.
Cusco has narrow, steep and vehicle-restricted streets. When the minivan cannot reach the hotel door, a nearby point will be coordinated.
After we gather the group, we will begin the journey south. During the first hours you can rest inside the vehicle.
The road combines paved road and, later, rural roads. It is advisable to wear a warm clothing by hand because the temperature is low during the early morning.
Bridge crossing
When access is permitted, passengers may cross according to local instructions.
The bridge moves with the weight, wind and passage of people. This sensation can produce nerves, especially when looking at the river and the walls of the canyon.
It is not mandatory to cross it. Anyone who prefers to stay at one end will be able to observe the structure from the mainland.
During the crossing:
- Move slowly.
- Keep both hands available.
- Respect the indicated distance.
- Don’t jump.
- Don’t run.
- Don’t shake the ropes.
The crossing may be suspended for maintenance, rain, wind, temporary deterioration or community decision.
Observation of the Canyon
You will have time to contemplate the Apurímac River and take photographs from the authorized sectors.
The banks have strong slopes and uneven surfaces. Don’t cross barriers or approach unstable edges.
the place does not have the same infrastructure as an urban archaeological complex. Bathrooms, shops and rest areas can be basic.

Pick up from the hotel The pickup is between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m. The exact time will be communicated the day before. When the vehicle cannot access the street of the hotel, a nearby point will be assigned.

Transport information
The tour is done by minivan or tourist bus.
Capacity depends on the size of the group.
Transportation includes:
- Pick up in Cusco.
- Transfer to Cusipata.
- Travel to Combapata and Yanaoca.
- Transfer to Quehue.

- Return to the Four Lagoons.
- Transfer to the restaurant.
- Return to Cusco.
The route combines paved road and rural roads.
During the rainy season mud, puddles, landslides and delays may occur.
All passengers must wear a belt when available and remain seated during vehicle movement.
Travel restrictions
Strikes and demonstrations
Strikes and demonstrations can block roads in Peru.
Where there is a risk, Peceros Agency Travel may:
- Overtaking the exit.
- Change the pick-up point.
- Modifying the route.
- Omit a stop.
- Use another path.
- Cancel the tour.
Any decision will be coordinated by the area of operations.
Safety takes precedence over the exact compliance of the program.
State of the road
The rains can generate:
- Fall of stones.
- Growing up of rivers.
- Temporary closures.
The driver and authorities will determine whether the track offers safe conditions.
Bridge crossing
The crossing is not guaranteed.
It may be suspended due to:
- Excess of visitors.
- Community decision.
- Unsafe behavior of passengers.
Not crossing the bridge does not mean that the visit to the place has been cancelled.
Health restrictions
The tour reaches areas above 3,700 meters.
Although the walks are short, the height can cause:
- Quick breath.
People with heart, respiratory, balance problems, or severe vertigo should consult their doctor.
Seniors should have medical clearance when they have a relevant background.
The guide may prevent crossing when he or she considers that a passenger cannot do so safely.
Restrictions for children
Children should stay with an adult.
They can’t run or play over the bridge.
The community or guide may prevent the crossing of young children when there are risks.
Parents or guardians are responsible for overseeing them.
Lost objects
Each passenger is responsible for their belongings.
