The city of Puno, located at an altitude of 3,827 meters above sea level, is the perfect starting point for exploring one of Peru’s most iconic destinations.
During this tour, you’ll visit the incredible Uros Floating Islands, where local families will teach you about their ancient traditions and way of life on reed platforms. You’ll then sail to Taquile Island, famous for its Andean landscapes and expert weavers, recognized by UNESCO for their ancient textile techniques.
ITINERARY OF THE Uros Islands Tour - Puno
7:00 a.m. – Pickup from your hotel or bus terminal in Puno
We begin with pickup from your hotel in Puno and head to the main port.
7:30 a.m. – Departure by boat to the Uros Floating Islands
We will sail across Lake Titicaca, visiting the famous totora reed islands. Locals will share their traditions, culture, and unique lifestyle.
9:30 a.m. – Continue to Taquile Island
We continue our journey to Taquile, an island renowned for its traditional weavings and declared a World Heritage Site.
12:30 p.m. – Lunch in Taquile
We will enjoy a typical lunch based on local products overlooking the lake.
2:00 p.m. – Return to Puno
After exploring the trails and enjoying the Taquile landscape, we return by boat to Puno.
5:00 p.m. – Arrival in Puno
We will end the tour in Puno’s main square.

Useful information: If you are in Cusco, buses to Puno depart from the Puno bus terminal and the journey takes approximately 8 hours.
