High mountain expedition through the Vilcanota Mountain Range

The Ausangate Trek to 6 Day Mountain is a high mountain expedition that travels through some of the most isolated landscapes of the Cusco region. The route crosses passages located around 5,000 meters of altitude, glacial lagoons, valleys of mineral colors, high Andean communities and extensive grasslands where llamas, alpacas and vicuñas live.

During the hike you will have continuous views of the snowy Ausangate, one of the highest mountains in Peru. You will also visit the Mountain of Colors, cross the Red Valley and end several days in sectors near natural hot springs.

This route should not be considered a conventional hike. The cold, altitude, slopes, camps and days of up to eight hours require good physical condition, pre-pre-preparation and several days of acclimatization in Cusco.

The program is offered exclusively in private service and includes transportation, bilingual guide, food, kitchen and dining shops, a kitchen and a small oxygen tank.
