To carry out the full program, the passenger must be in Lima from the night before.
We will travel along the South Pan American Highway towards Paracas. The journey from Lima is approximately 259 kilometers and usually takes about three and a half hours, although it can vary by traffic, works and controls.
During the first few hours, the weather in Paracas can feel cold and windy. We recommend carrying a light coat and not storing it in the main suitcase.
Arrival in Paracas
Upon arrival in the sector of El Chaco the corresponding registration will be made and we will walk to the dock.
The guide or coordinator will explain:
- Departure time.
- Location of the life jacket.
- Sea conditions.
- Meeting point after navigation.
- Restrictions of the boat.
- Care of cameras and telephones.
Sailing to the Ballestas Islands
We will board an open tourist boat.
During the first section we will observe the Candelabro from the sea. No landing is done on the hillside.
Then we will continue to the rock formations of Ballestas.
The official route has approximately 21.4 kilometers and an estimated duration of one hour and forty minutes between one way and return.
Depending on the season and the behavior of the animals, it is possible to observe:
- Marine wolves.
The Ballestas Islands are part of a national reserve that protects species and ecosystems important for their conservation.
Observation of a particular species is not guaranteed. The fauna does not always remain in the same place and will not be attracted or fed to bring it closer to visitors.
Navigation restrictions
The port authority may delay or cancel the departure due to:
- Mechanical problems.
- Security measures.
- Temporary closure of the port.
When the navigation is cancelled, the conditions of reprogramming or return of the maritime service established by the operator shall apply.
Travel to Ica
After returning to the dock we will continue by road to Ica.
The landscape will shift from the sea edge to agricultural areas, urban areas and desert sectors.
Visit to a winery
We will make a stop in a handmade or tourist winery.
The tour may include an explanation of:
- Grape cultivation.

Food is not included in the base price.
We recommend to avoid:
- Excessive alcohol consumption.
