Itinerary
Arrival in Lima and City Tour
Highlight of the day: Move from the districts in front of the Pacific to the colonial center of Lima during the first day.
Reception at the airport
A representative of Peceros Agency Travel will be waiting for you in the arrivals area of Lima airport.
After the meeting, we will start the transfer to the hotel booked by the passenger. The time will depend on traffic and the district.
To make the full city tour, the flight must land during the morning. When there is a major delay, the route may be reduced, changed order or moved to another time.
Historic Center of Lima
In the afternoon we will begin the tour of the old part of the capital.
The route may include:
- Plaza San Martin.
- Jiron of the Union.
- Plaza Mayor.
- Government Palace, observed from the outside.
- Cathedral of Lima, exterior view or entrance according to the program.
- Archbishop’s Palace.
Streets may feature closures, official ceremonies or vehicle restrictions. Part of the tour is done on foot.
Catacombs include stairs, narrow passages, reduced lighting, and human remains. Passengers with claustrophobia or limited mobility must report it before entering.
Miraflores and Barranco
Then we will continue to the coastal districts.
In Miraflores you can see parks, commercial avenues, hotel areas and sectors near the Costa Verde.
Barranco presents cases, streets linked to art, squares and meeting areas.
The duration of the stops will depend on the traffic and time used in the Historic Center.

Departure to Paracas
The pick up will take place before dawn.
We will travel along the South Pan-American Highway to Paracas. The journey takes approximately three and a half hours to four hours.
SERNANP points out that the ground distance between Lima and Paracas is approximately 259 kilometers.
Navigation to the Ballestas Islands
After the port registration we will board an open boat.
During the journey you will observe the Candelabra from the sea before continuing to the islands.
Depending on the season and the displacement of the fauna, they may appear:
- Marine wolves.
The presence of a particular species is not guaranteed.
Wind, waves, visibility or port authority decisions may delay or cancel navigation.
Travel to Huacachina
Then we will continue to Ica and the oasis of Huacachina.
There will be time for lunch before the dune activity. The meal will depend on the contracted mode.
Sandboxing and sandboarding vehicles
The buggy tour includes climbs, curves and descents over the dunes.
Recreational sandboarding is usually done lying on the board to reduce the risk of falling.
We do not recommend this activity to people with:
- Recent back injuries.
- Cervical problems.
- Recent surgeries.
- Intense joint pain.
Return to Lima
After the activity we will start the return journey.
The arrival will occur during the night and will depend on traffic.

Arrival and initial acclimatization
A representative will wait for you at Cusco airport and make the transfer to the hotel.
The altitude difference can produce:

City Tour Cusco
In the afternoon we will visit:
- Puka Pukara.
Qorikancha combines Inca walls with structures of the convent of Santo Domingo.
Then we will ascend to the complexes located outside the urban center. The tour includes stone, steps, dirt roads and wind-exposed areas.
If the passenger has severe symptoms of height, he or she must prioritize rest.

The route is heading towards the Sacred Valley and combines archaeological sites, markets, agricultural areas and villages located next to the Vilcanota River.
Pisac
The visit may include the archaeological site, the market or both.
The complex features terraces, slopes, paths and stone stairs.
The guide will explain the relationship between agriculture, storage, surveillance and occupation of the territory.
Lunch in Urubamba
We will continue to Urubamba for lunch.
The buffet usually offers:

Ollantaytambo
In the afternoon we will visit the Ollantaytambo complex.
The main ascent includes numerous steps. Passengers with knee pain can make a partial visit from the lower sectors.
Moray
We will continue to the circular terraces of Moray.
The visit is from viewpoints and authorized roads. Access to certain levels may be restricted to protect the structures.
Salineras de Maras
The last stop will be in the salt flats.
The set has thousands of pools fed by salt water and managed by families in the area.
Travelers must remain in the viewpoints and sectors enabled.
Return to Cusco
The arrival will take place overnight.

Machu Picchu Full Day
Highlight of the day: Travel by train to Machu Picchu and travel one of its official routes with a guide.
Transfer to the station
The day will start early.
We will travel from Cusco to Ollantaytambo or the station indicated on the confirmation.
The journey can take anywhere from an hour to a half to two hours.
Train to Machu Picchu Village
The rail service will follow the valley of the Vilcanota River.
The base train will be Expedition, Voyager or an equivalent category. The seats are allocated by the company.
The passenger must carry a small backpack and respect the baggage limits.
Bus Consettur
From Machu Picchu Pueblo we will board the bus to the entrance.
The journey usually takes between 25 and 30 minutes.
Machu Picchu Circuits
The visit is made through pre-established circuits and routes.
The official site presents, among others, the following options:
- Circuit 1 Panoramic: Routes 1-A, 1-B, 1-C and 1-D.
- Circuit 2 Classic Machupicchu: Routes 2-A and 2-B.
- Circuit 3 Machupicchu Royalty: Lower parts routes and specific accesses.
1-C and 1-D routes are available only during high season.
The exact circuit will be informed before confirming the reservation.
Guided tour
The tour usually lasts between two and three hours.
The observed sectors will depend on the ticket. Not all circuits allow you to enter:
- Temple of the Sun.
- Sacred Square.
- Top lookouts.
- Low part.
- Inca Bridge.
Classic photography is also not guaranteed on all routes.
Return to Cusco
After leaving, we will descend by bus to Machu Picchu Pueblo.
You will have a margin to eat or pick up luggage depending on the train schedule.
Then we will travel to Ollantaytambo and continue by tourist transport to Cusco.

Transfer to Soraypampa
Then we will continue by road to Soraypampa.
The last section has curves, dirt and possible bumps.
Hike to Humantay
The ascent includes:
- Natural steps.
- Sludge during the rains.
- Continuous earrings.
- Sectors exposed to wind.
The climb usually takes between an hour and a half and two and a half hours.
The Humantay Lagoon feeds on melting and is located in a high-altitude environment. The official tourist promotion information places it above 4,000 meters.
Horses can be hired separately, but they don’t always reach the edge of the lagoon.
Permanence and descent
The tonality of the water depends on light, cloud cover and sediment.
The water is not allowed into the water.
Descent requires attention because the pressure on knees and ankles increases.
Lunch and return to Cusco
After the walk we will return to the restaurant for lunch.
The arrival in Cusco will be during the afternoon or early evening.
Cusco–Puno Night Bus
The original itinerary did not indicate this transfer, but it is essential to start Day 7 from Puno.
After the return:
- You will collect the stored luggage.
- You’ll have a margin to change and have dinner.
- You’ll be transferred to the terminal.
- You will board an interprovincial bus to Puno.
The journey takes approximately seven to nine hours.
This connection is demanding. After the hike you will not have a full night in hotel.

Upon arrival, a host family will receive the group.
The accommodation is simple and may include:

Lunch will be prepared with food available on the island.
Optional Walk
In the afternoon you can take a walk to Pachatata or Pachamama, according to the local organization.
The ascent can feel intense by:
- The height.
- The night bus.
- The fatigue of Humantay.
- The dirt and stone paths.
The passenger can stay in the house when he is not in good condition.
Dinner and local activity
The family will serve dinner.
In some outings, local music and clothing are organized. This activity depends on the community and should not be considered guaranteed.

Then we will walk to the dock and travel to Taquile.
Tour of Taquile
The hike can start with a climb or include numerous steps, depending on the dock used.
Taquile is known for a textile art developed daily by men and women and used by the members of the community themselves.
Among its representative garments are:
- Heat belts.
- Woven bags.
- Garments related to age and marital status.
The calendar belt may represent annual cycles linked to agricultural and ritual activities.
The purchase of textiles is voluntary. We recommend assessing the time to prepare and avoid aggressive negotiations.
Lunch
Lunch will be served in a communal or family restaurant.
The usual menu may include soup, trout or vegetarian alternative.
Special diets should be communicated before the trip.
Return to Puno
After lunch we’ll go down to the dock.
Navigation to Puno takes approximately two and a half hours to three hours.
Puno–Cusco Night Bus
Arriving at the port:
- You will collect the stored luggage.
- You’ll have time for dinner.
- You’ll be transferred to the terminal.
- You will board the night bus to Cusco.
This second overnight transfer is necessary to perform Vinicunca on Day 9.
linking Taquile, a night bus and Vinicunca is a demanding combination. We recommend expanding the program with a night of rest in Cusco.

To connect with Vinicunca requires:
- The bus arrives without considerable delays.
- A representative wait in the terminal.
- Let the luggage be stored.

Descent and lunch
After the viewpoint we will start the return.
